Formed in 2007, Ear Candy is an all-female & non-binary identifying a cappella group currently comprised of 15 Appalachian State University students.

 

We sing covers of a variety of genres by popular artists including Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and many more!

 

Ear Candy performs at all kinds of on and off-campus events, including celebrations, fundraisers, club events, weddings, etc.

At Acappellageddon, Appalachian's annual a cappella competition, Ear Candy was awarded "Best A Cappella Group" as well as "Best All-Female Group" in both the fall of 2015 and 2016  (and have held this award since 2010). In 2017, we were awarded "Best All-Female Group." In 2019, we were awarded "Best Overall A Capella group", "Best Soloist," and "Best Beatboxer."

ACAPELLAGEDDON 2023 CHAMPIONS

In 2023, we received "Best Overall A Capella Group" on Appalachian State's campus. We also received "Best Soloist" for Adelynne Money's performance of Sue Me by Sabrina Carpenter. We performed three show stopping songs: Liz by Remi Wolf, Sue Me by Sabrina Carpenter, and Crazy in Love by Beyonce.
