Formed in 2007, Ear Candy is an all-female & non-binary identifying a cappella group currently comprised of 15 Appalachian State University students.

 

We sing covers of a variety of genres by popular artists including Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and many more!

 

Ear Candy performs at all kinds of on and off-campus events, including celebrations, fundraisers, club events, weddings, etc.

At Acappellageddon, Appalachian's annual a cappella competition, Ear Candy was awarded "Best A Cappella Group" as well as "Best All-Female Group" in both the fall of 2015 and 2016  (and have held this award since 2010). In 2017, we were awarded "Best All-Female Group." In 2019, we were awarded "Best Overall A Capella group", "Best Soloist," and "Best Beatboxer."

2025 ICCA SOUTH QUARTERFINALS 3RD PLACE

In 2025, we had the honor of performing at the ICCA South Quarterfinals, competing against extremely talented groups from all over. Three groups came from App State! We were honored to take home 3rd Place! We can't wait to see what our ICCA future holds! We performed two incredible songs, both arranged by our very own Adelynne Money, Love Over Glory by Zinadelphia, and Sue Me by Sabrina Carpenter.

ACAPELLAGEDDON 2023 CHAMPIONS

In 2023, we received "Best Overall A Capella Group" on Appalachian State's campus. We also received "Best Soloist" for Adelynne Money's performance of Sue Me by Sabrina Carpenter. We performed three show stopping songs: Liz by Remi Wolf, Sue Me by Sabrina Carpenter, and Crazy in Love by Beyonce.
